Resources for Vets
Providing Advocacy and Support
Welcome Home Vets supports veterans and their families with advocacy, information, and referrals to locate state and local resources for a range of needs--from where to go for emergency food, shelter and clothing to who to call to arrange a color guard or bagpiper for a funeral.
Welcome Home Vets, like other non-profits in the county, coordinates with Nevada County 211 to connect our clients with needed resources. If you would like us to help you make this connection, please come by our office or call us at 530-272-3300.
We also help streamline the process for vets applying to the US Department of Veterans Affairs for care and benefits for themselves and their dependents.
As advocates for veterans, we maintain an open line of communication with elected officials at the federal, state and local levels to maintain and increase their awareness of the needs of veterans and their families.
